3 Day Zanzibar Safari, Itinerary,Price & Inclusions
Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park – The Safari Begins!
Your unforgettable Tanzania safari begins right at your hotel in Zanzibar. In the early morning, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for a scenic domestic flight to Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania. This flight lasts just under one hour and is aboard a comfortable light aircraft.
Upon landing at Arusha Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a brief introduction, you’ll embark on a picturesque two-hour drive through the Tanzanian countryside toward Tarangire National Park, one of the most underrated gems in the northern circuit.
Tarangire is famous for its towering baobab trees, expansive golden savannahs, and some of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. The Tarangire River, a vital water source during the dry season, attracts a high concentration of wildlife, making game viewing exceptional.
Once inside the park, your game drive will begin in a specially equipped 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for optimal wildlife viewing. You can expect to see herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, impalas, and possibly even lions and elusive leopards. The landscapes vary from open plains to seasonal swamps and riverine woodlands, offering incredible photographic opportunities and ample birdlife.
As the sun sets over the acacia-dotted horizon, your guide will take you to a comfortable safari lodge or tented camp located near or within the park. You’ll enjoy a delicious dinner, relax under the African sky, and spend the night immersed in the tranquility of nature.
