Day 1: Zanzibar to Tarangire National Park – The Safari Begins!

Your unforgettable Tanzania safari begins at your hotel in Zanzibar. Early in the morning, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to the airport for a scenic domestic flight to Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania. The flight lasts just under one hour and is aboard a comfortable light aircraft.

Upon landing at Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After a brief introduction, you will embark on a picturesque two-hour drive through the Tanzanian countryside toward Tarangire National Park, one of the most underrated gems in the northern circuit.

Tarangire is famous for its towering baobab trees, expansive golden savannahs, and some of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. The Tarangire River, a vital water source during the dry season, attracts a high concentration of wildlife, making game viewing exceptional.

Once inside the park, your game drive will begin in a specially equipped 4x4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for optimal wildlife viewing. You can expect to see herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, impalas, and possibly even lions and elusive leopards. The landscapes vary from open plains to seasonal swamps and riverine woodlands, offering incredible photographic opportunities and abundant birdlife.

As the sun sets over the acacia-dotted horizon, your guide will take you to a comfortable safari lodge or tented camp located near or within the park. You will enjoy a delicious dinner, relax under the African sky, and spend the night immersed in the tranquility of nature.

Day 2 - En-route Game Drive to  Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, your journey continues through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, crossing the scenic Malanja Depression as you head toward the legendary Serengeti National Park—renowned as one of the world’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Along the way, you'll pause briefly at Naabi Hill Gate, where you can take a short walk around the striking Naabi Hill Kopjes (massive granite rock formations), giving you a chance to stretch while your guide handles the park entry formalities.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the gate before venturing deeper into the endless plains of the Serengeti—a name derived from the Maasai word ‘Siringet’, meaning “a place where the land goes on forever.” Spend the rest of the afternoon on thrilling game drives across the vast savannah.

Day 4 - Ngorongoro Crater Game - Back to Zanzibar

Thanks to its permanent water sources and rich grazing lands, the crater is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, and the majestic African elephant.

One of the main highlights of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is its high density of predators—lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a sharp eye to spot. Your game drive will also include a visit to Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake located in the crater’s southwestern corner. This scenic lake attracts flocks of flamingos, hippos, and a variety of other water birds.

In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha for dinner and overnight, or directly to the airport for your return flight to Zanzibar.
